Privacy Policy

Introduction

This policy explains what information we collect when you use EmployTT’s websites and content (“Services”). It also has information about how we store, use, transfer, and delete that information. In addition to complying with the Data Protection Act of Trinidad and Tobago, our aim is to earn your trust.


The collection and utilization of information

We do not collect or utilize data entered on our website for the purposes of user-directed advertisements. The tracking that we do at EmployTT is done strictly to maintain a high standard of performance of our product. We collect information from your activity on our website in order to give you the best possible experience. Information that you actively give us, like your email address which we use to communicate with you. Other information, such as what pages you access and your interactions with our product features, such as, applying for jobs, tracking jobs, posting jobs, your Internet Protocol address and information about your device (such as device or browser type), we collect while using EmployTT.
This information is used to:

  1. Deliver, evaluate, refine and individualize EmployTT Services
  2. Generate aggregate, non-identifying information about how people use EmployTT Services
When you create your EmployTT account, and authenticate with a third-party service, like Google, we may collect, store, and periodically update information associated with that third-party account, such as your lists of friends or information from that account which has been made publicly available. We will never use your account information, on this service, for any other purpose than authentication and communication.


Information Disclosure

EmployTT will not relinquish your information to third parties for monetary gain or for the purpose of providing or facilitating third-party advertising to you. We may, however, share your account information with third parties in some circumstances, including:

  1. With your consent.
  2. With academic or non-profit researchers, with aggregation or pseudonymization of data
  3. When we have a good faith belief it is required by law, such as pursuant to a subpoena or other legal process
  4. When we have a good faith belief that doing so will help prevent imminent harm to someone.
In the event that we have to share your information regarding a legal process, you will be notified so that you can challenge it. This is only if we are not prohibited by law or believe that sharing your information may endanger others. We will not respond to requests made for users’ information that we believe to be inappropriate.


Data Storage

EmployTT uses third-party vendors and hosting partners, such as Netlify and Google Firebase, for hardware, software, networking, storage, and related technology we need to run EmployTT. By using EmployTT Services, you authorize EmployTT to transfer, store, and use your information in Trinidad and Tobago.


Third-Party Embeds

Some of the content that you see displayed on EmployTT is not hosted by EmployTT. These “embeds” are hosted by a third-party and embedded in EmployTT which send data to the hosted site just as if you were visiting that site directly. For example, when you load a EmployTT page with a YouTube video embedded in it, YouTube receives data about your activity. EmployTT does not control what data third parties collect in these cases, or what they will do with it. So, third-party embeds on EmployTT are not covered by this privacy policy. They are covered by the privacy policy of the third-party service.


Tracking & Cookies

Browser cookies and similar technologies are used recognize you when you return to our Services. They are used to remember your preferences (such as default language) and personalize content and other information. EmployTT tracks your activity within our domain (netlify.employtt.com) and domains hosted by EmployTT. We do not track you across the Internet. We use a third-party service “Google Analytics” to gauge the performance and measure different aspects of netlify.employtt.com. This service may place cookies in your browser. These cookies are governed by the Privacy Policy of that service and are not covered by EmployTT’s Privacy Policy


Modifying or Deleting Your Personal Information

If you have an EmployTT account, you can access, modify or export your personal information, or delete your account, once logged in. Your information and content (uploaded files) will be unrecoverable subsequent to you deleting your account. Unless required by law, EmployTT will not save copies of your account information and content.


Data Security

HTTPS/TLS is deployed across all pages on our domain to protect data in flight (in transmission to and from your device to our servers). Since no transmission is completely safe, we cannot guarantee that your data is also safe in flight. We expect users to take measures to safeguard account credentials for EmployTT to prevent unauthorized access to their accounts.


Email from EmployTT

We will only send you emails when you:

  1. Create an account and we need to verify your email address
  2. Fully complete your profile
  3. Submit a job application, to verify the submission
These emails are transactional and therefore you cannot choose to opt out of them unless your account is deleted. To this date, EmployTT has no newsletters or digests. EmployTT will never send you an email requesting your password or confidential information which you may have uploaded to our site. Should you receive a suspicious email you can send it to us for investigation.


Changes to this Policy

Employ TT may alter this policy over time. In the event changes are made to this policy, you will be notified via email. The most up to date version of the policy will always be available on this page along with the date of the update at the top of the page. Any previous versions can be accessed here.
